We recently hosted an exclusive executive roundtable in Riyadh titled “The Future of Banking: Open, Personalized, and Customer Centric.” The event was attended by prominent leaders from Saudi banks and centred around nurturing customer-centric initiatives tailored to the Saudi market’s specific context and demands.

 A key theme was the adoption of customer-centric approaches and recognizing the significance of personalized offerings to build stronger connections and trust with customers. Another focus area in the discussion was Open Banking and embedded finance, which also aligns with the Saudi Government’s Vision 2030 agenda.  Open Banking has been particularly useful in promoting financial inclusion and empowering underserved communities.

The discussion revolved around leveraging emerging trends, and the participants stressed the need for banks to harness technology effectively to provide seamless and personalized banking experiences.  

An overarching point of view (POV) was derived from this discussion. This POV is a comprehensive synthesis of insights shared by the delegates during the roundtable, combined with valuable input from the industry. It presents a holistic approach to address the challenges and opportunities facing the sector by leveraging technology and adopting customer-centric models.
