At SunTec, we are deeply committed to integrating a comprehensive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy across our operations. We aim to make a lasting, positive impact on both our business practices and the world around us. By setting ambitious goals and aligning our efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we are proud to lead by example in creating a sustainable future.

Our Environmental Stewardship

Our green campus in Trivandrum, inaugurated in 2023, serves as a testament to our commitment to environmental sustainability. Our campus offers a sustainable workplace for our employees. The main building has 15 floors and is designed to maximize natural light, reduce heat, and optimize energy. The campus features a 2.5-acre green cover with over 11,000 tree saplings and shrubs, including rare and threatened species. The building uses energy-efficient electrical and plumbing fittings powered by sensors, to ensure minimal energy and water consumption. The campus has a zero-discharge wastewater system, which recycles water for landscaping and a rainwater harvesting system that meets nearly three months of our water needs.
Further, in line with clean construction practices and green building norms, we will soon get accredited with the Green Building Accreditation (Green Mark Platinum rating) from the Singapore Green Building Council.

Social Responsibility: Empowering Communities through SNEHA

We are committed to making a positive social impact through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, driven by our team, SNEHA (Sustainable Nurturing through Education and Health Activities). SNEHA focuses on supporting long-term, impactful projects that enhance the quality of life in the communities where we operate. With an emphasis on education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability, SNEHA works tirelessly to promote education and vocational skills, improve access to healthcare, and contribute to the well-being of the environment. SNEHA does not merely fund initiatives but actively plans, designs, coordinates, and executes projects in close collaboration with all stakeholders. This ensures meaningful engagement and sustainable outcomes, creating lasting change in the communities we serve. So far, over 25,000 lives have been positively impacted through outreach efforts.

We recognize that strong governance is essential for sustainable growth and earning the trust of our stakeholders. We are committed to operating with integrity, transparency, and accountability, aligning our business practices with global standards. Our governance framework is built on clear policies, ethical behavior, and compliance mechanisms that permeate every level of the organization. This includes a commitment to preventing unethical practices such as corruption and fraud, and ensuring accountability for all actions through clear performance metrics, audits, and transparent reporting.
Our governance strategy integrates ESG risks into our enterprise risk management framework and ensures compliance with global regulations like the United Nations Global Compact and ISO standards. Our dedicated ESG Committee is responsible for steering our initiatives, while our Code of Conduct outlines ethical expectations for employees, contractors, and business partners. We foster ongoing engagement with stakeholders to align our strategies with societal and environmental expectations. Additionally, we provide transparent reporting on our ESG progress, challenges, and achievements, ensuring that we remain accountable and responsive to our stakeholders.

Proudly Rated Bronze by EcoVadis

As part of our ongoing sustainability journey, we are proud to be rated Bronze by EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. We are among the top 35% globally in terms of our sustainability rating. This recognition underscores our dedication to strong ESG practices. In addition to being rated ourselves, we also empower our customers by providing access to sustainability scores through EcoVadis, enabling them to assess and enhance their own ESG performance. Through this partnership, we help organizations and financial institutions track their sustainability progress and integrate our product to incentivize corporate customers’ green behavior through preferential pricing and benefits.

A Comprehensive ESG Review by a Leading Big Four Audit Firm

Our ESG commitment is deeply integrated into our core business strategy, ensuring a conscientious and holistic approach to resource utilization. As part of an assessment by one of the Big Four auditors, SunTec’s inaugural ESG Report aligns with GRI Standards 2021 for comprehensive ESG impact reporting and incorporates data based on the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) guidelines, with a focus on data security and customer privacy. The report covers the periods from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023, and April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, providing a detailed overview of SunTec’s ESG initiatives and tangible outcomes.
